The Beyerdynamic A1 Headphone Amplifier provides audiophile quality headphone monitoring for high-quality home entertainment systems, professional audio recording and video editing systems. Beyerdynamic's "intelligent circuitry" attributes to the A1's pristine audio quality and 96kHz frequency response.
The amplifier is well suited for use with Beyerdynamic's 600 ohm headphone series and reproduces the uncompressed audio from either SA-CDs or DVDs with pristine results. There are 2 stereo RCA inputs and a single stereo RCA output on the rear. A single 1/4" TRS phone headphone output and high-grade ALPS volume control is featured on the front. A source select switch chooses between the two input sources. Audio signal is passed through main output on the A1 while powered down, the headphone output becomes active when the A1 is powered.

Value for Price Performance Quality i ordered this solid amp with sennheiser hd650. i personally like the studio-like neutrality of the sound from beyerdynamic's products. so i chose a1 and it turned out to be a perfect partner for my hd650. this combination with my denon cd player and audioquest cables) plays music in my preferred manner: reproduces what is recorded faithfully without adding or altering even the minute detail of the sound. great german engineering product from beyerdynamic.Would you recommend this product to a friend? Value for Price Performance Quality This is a well-built, great sounding headphone amp. As far as I know, it is the only headphone amp that is available domestically that is manufactured by a headphone company. The best solid state stand-alone headphone amp I have heard. If you are looking for features though, they are not there. It is built for one thing -- to amplify your headphones. Two RCA inputs, one RCA output, a 1/4" TRS jack for your headphones, a standby switch, and a volume knob. This simplicity carries over into its performance. It sounds great with beyerdynamic headphones -- authoritative, meaty, and with no stridency -- but also all other makes I have used it with. It looks significantly more handsome in person that it does in pictures. I love it.Would you recommend this product to a friend? Definitely yes

Performance Quality Value for Price I bought this amp last summer to pair with my Beyerdynamic T-1 headphones. A match made in heaven (or I guess more accurately, in Germany). This is amp fast, transparent, and neutral. Good transient snap and punch, and good spatial imaging if the source is recorded well. Very powerful, vice like grip of any cans connected to it, but also musical and non-edgy. Extreme extension on both ends...if your source has high or low frequencies at the extreme, then this A1 will amplify it faithfully. Very convenient footprint, and functionality (two input and one with pass-thru). Very well built right down to the silky smooth volume control. Highest recommendation, especially since it can handle (with ease) the 600 ohm load of my T1 headphones.Would you recommend this product to a friend? Definitely yes
