Quality Value for Price Performance When I was researching this product before my purchase, my main question was in regards to battery life. I had planned to attach this speaker to my bicycle in order to listen to music while riding. (Riding with headphones in is illegal in California) I have since purchased this product and know know for sure all the details I would ever need to know about this item!
First of all, yes, the unit is very loud when plugged in. The greatest thing is that it is JUST AS loud running off of the batteries. However, on maximum volume, I was getting no more than 75 minutes off of four conventional batteries. With this in mind, I made an investment in rechargeable batteries. The Duracell PreCharged batteries are supreme!
Running off of the Duracell rechargeable batteries, the unit will play at max volume for over two hours. This speaker PUMPS! I turn heads whenever I ride by people because of how loud the music is. Highly recommended item.Would you recommend this product to a friend? Definitely yes

Quality Value for Price Performance I bought this speaker/dock for my wife for Christmas. She loves it and so do I. The sound is surprisingly clean, crisp and full. If some think it lacks bass, I would challenge them to find an equally compact unit with the kind of "deep, rich" bass they're apparently looking for.
We use it with the iPod Nano(6th gen.)which was also part of the gift. Together they are compact, dynamic technology.
A note to those who intend to use it with the Nano: You may want to get a Sendstation dock extender because the Nano sits low in the unit making the bottom row of touchscreen icons difficult to use. For us, it's not an issue worth spending the extra $20+ for an extender.
I docked 1 star from my review, because I found it hard to install the four AAA batteries. The cover doesn't feel secure and the playback has cut out a couple of times while using it without the power cord. We don't move the dock around very much so it's not an issue.
