The EOS 5D Mark II has a stunning 21.1-megapixel full-frame CMOS Sensor with DIGIC 4 Image Processor, a vast ISO Range of 100-6400, plus EOS technologies like Auto Lighting Optimizer and Peripheral Illumination Correction. It supports Live View shooting, Live View HD videos, and more. It can shoot up to 3.9 fps, has 9 AF points plus 6 AF assist points, a 98% coverage viewfinder, a 3.0" Clear View LCD (920,000 dots/VGA) and a rugged build. Updated EOS Integrated Cleaning System specifically designed to work with a full-frame sensor.
he EOS 5D Mark II features a huge, full-frame sensor. A 21.1-megapixel CMOS sensor delivers images of up to 5616 x 3744 pixels. And since it is full-frame, all lenses will deliver the angle of view they would on a 35mm camera without a conversion factor. This comes in handy especially when shooting with wide-angle lenses. For the flexibility to shoot in even the most dimly lit situations, the EOS 5D Mark II offers Canon's highest ISO sensitivity to date, ranging from 100-6400 (expandable to ISO L: 50, H1: 12800 and H2: 25600). Thanks to improved noise reduction technologies, images shot even at highest sensitivity will be remarkably smooth.
The EOS 5D Mark II is the first Digital EOS to offer Recording of Full HD video in Live View Mode. Capable of shooting clips almost half an hour long at full 1080 resolution, the EOS 5D Mark II does amazing double duty, making it possible to shoot Broadcast quality video on your camera by simply changing settings. Canon's DIGIC 4 Image Processor speeds up all operations, making a number of features such as Face Detection Live mode, HD video recording and lighting and lens peripheral optimization possible.

Value for Price Performance Quality I just used my new Canon 5D Mark II at a wedding and for two portrait sessions. I really love it's functionality as it is easy to use and make adjustments while shooting. The images come out super sharp and the color tones are lovely. I also like that I can make choices between raw file shooting. I can select high rez raw, medium rez raw and low rez raw. That is great because I can shoot my bridal portrait in high rez raw and the reception dancing in medium rez raw to save on memory and computer space.Would you recommend this product to a friend? Value for Price Performance Quality Upgrade from my two year old Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I was concerned about adjusting settings since the 5D Mark II has a completely different set of controls. I've had no issues and was worried for nothing. Video feature is really nice (use a tripod) and make sure your computer has enough power to play full HD video. Quality is incredible. Lens micro-adjustment feature is great! You can fix a front- or rear-focusing lens without sending it off for service. Image quality is stunning. Auto-ISO feature is nice, too. ISO 3200-6400 capabilities are very useful. EX Speedlight flash controls built into camera menu system are handy and much easier to use than the regular flash controls.
I've shot three events with the camera and have been happy with the results. My clients have been pleased as well. Overall, I'm thrilled with the purchase. Get one if you can find one.

Value for Price Performance Quality I am not a professional and use this camera for leisure and as a hobby. Ocassionally have to do shoots for work ( still life, interiour shots ) but mostly it is a daytime landscape photography. Great body, good weight - feel solid in your hands. Great viewfinder and focus zones.
LCD is nice and bright with tons of display options. Controls are not intuitive if you are switching from Rebel line, there is now a dial wheel so all the options have to be reconfirmed through that contraption and that makes it harder to do a one hand operation. Also, shooting options with quick shortcut button are not easy to navigate at the begining but you do get used to them.Would you recommend this product to a friend? Definitely yes
